(hereinafter referred to as "the Company") recognizes the importance of Individual Numbers and Specific Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as "Specific Personal Information, etc.") and is committed to ensuring the proper handling of such information. In order to systematically address this issue, the Company considers the protection of Specific Personal Information, etc. of its executives and employees (hereinafter referred to as "Officers and Employees") as well as its business partners as a critical matter. Accordingly, the Company establishes this "Basic Policy on the Proper Handling of Specific Personal Information" (hereinafter referred to as "this Basic Policy") as outlined below, aiming to thoroughly protect Specific Personal Information, etc.
1. Policy on Handling Specific Personal Information, etc.
The Company shall acquire, store, use, provide, and dispose of Specific Personal Information, etc. of its Officers and Employees as well as its business partners in compliance with the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures (hereinafter referred to as the "My Number Act"), relevant laws and regulations concerning personal information and Specific Personal Information, etc., guidelines established by the Specific Personal Information Protection Commission, and other applicable standards. Additionally, the Company shall adhere to internal handling regulations and ensure the proper management of Specific Personal Information, etc.
2. Purpose of Use
The Company shall handle Specific Personal Information, etc. only within the scope of the following purposes:
- For administrative procedures related to the Employment Insurance Act, such as acquiring or losing qualifications and benefit applications.
- For administrative procedures related to the Workers' Accident Compensation Insurance Act, such as benefit claims and social rehabilitation support projects.
- For administrative procedures related to the Health Insurance Act, Seafarers’ Insurance Act, National Health Insurance Act, and Act on Assurance of Medical Care for Elderly People, such as acquiring or losing qualifications and benefit claims.
- For administrative procedures related to the Employees' Pension Insurance Act, such as acquiring or losing qualifications and benefit claims.
- For administrative procedures related to the Defined Benefit Corporate Pension Act and Defined Contribution Pension Act, such as pension benefit claims.
- For administrative procedures related to the Long-Term Care Insurance Act.
- For administrative procedures related to the Inheritance Tax Act, such as the preparation of payment records for retirement allowances and other benefits.
- For administrative procedures related to the Special Taxation Measures Act, such as the preparation of statutory reports.
- For administrative procedures related to the Income Tax Act, such as the preparation of statutory reports and withholding tax certificates.
- For administrative procedures related to the Act on Submission of Statements on Overseas Remittances for the Proper Taxation of Domestic Taxes, such as preparing statutory reports.
- For administrative procedures related to the Child Rearing Allowance Act, Act on Welfare of Mothers with Dependents and Fathers with Dependents, Act on Comprehensive Support for Persons with Disabilities, Special Child Rearing Allowance Act, Public Assistance Act, and Act on Support Payments for Disaster Victims.
- For the creation of disaster victim records.
- For other related administrative procedures permitted under Article 19 of the My Number Act.
3. Security Control Measures
- The Company shall establish internal handling regulations and implement necessary and appropriate security control measures to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of Specific Personal Information, etc. Additionally, when assigning Officers and Employees to handle Specific Personal Information, etc., the Company shall conduct necessary and appropriate supervision to ensure that security control measures are properly implemented.
- Specific Personal Information, etc. shall not be provided to third parties except in cases permitted by the My Number Act.
- When entrusting the handling of Specific Personal Information, etc. to third parties with the consent of Officers and Employees and business partners, the Company shall select entities with adequate levels of personal information protection and shall ensure, through contractual agreements, that the entrusted entities implement appropriate security control measures. The Company shall also conduct necessary and appropriate supervision of such entrusted entities.
4. Continuous Improvement
The Company shall continuously improve this Basic Policy and internal regulations to ensure that the protection of Specific Personal Information, etc. is appropriately implemented.
